Maybe it’s because the economy is slowly–painfully slowly–recovering, but can it be that the most pressing issue before the nation is a highly exaggerated “war on religion” and whether people should be using birth control?

We in the cheesehead state knew there were a lot of recall signatures being collected, but the 1 million delivered surpassed most expectations. Certainly some percentage will be thrown out, but there will be far more than enough left standing. The process still has a long way to go, but the clock is ticking, governor……

OK, it’s not unusual for politicians from both parties to add poison pill provisions to bills. In this case, I assume the game is to add these odious pills to a popular payroll tax cut in order to provoke a veto from President Obama. The GOP could then claim he’s against a payroll tax cut. But, c’mon guys, this is people’s financial well-being at a time when real people could use some real help.

The problem is that it adds to existing suspicions that Mitt isn’t comfortable in his own skin, that he’s not a genuine person you could share a beer with. Romney’s advisors are probably breathing a sigh of relief that he didn’t want to bet a million dollars.
