I love cars! My wife loves them–she’s got two Cadillacs, one at each of our palatial homes! And I love NASCAR! Why, some of my best friends own NASCAR racing teams!! And, and, the trees are just the right height!

Candidates tend to wear their religion on their sleeves during a campaign, some more than others. At times it seems they’re running for national vicar rather than president. Rick Santorum, though, seems to find religion a great way to remind people that Obama is not really one of us, doesn’t share our values or theology. He’s so OTHER.

We in the cheesehead state knew there were a lot of recall signatures being collected, but the 1 million delivered surpassed most expectations. Certainly some percentage will be thrown out, but there will be far more than enough left standing. The process still has a long way to go, but the clock is ticking, governor……

Newt is infamous for spinning out ideas almost indiscriminately, some good, some bad, some atrocious. Having grown up in the 1960s with all its optimistic predictions about all the amazing things we’d do in the future, I have a kind of fond nostalgia when Gingrich talks about stuff like mining colonies on the moon.
