Oh, sure, there are a lot of facets to the huge federal budget, and Obama has even had the temerity to propose some cuts to defense. But for the most part, it is programs that benefit the most vulnerable among us that are the first to be put on the chopping block. After all, the tax cuts for the wealthiest must be protected at all costs.
