Steady…

backC Steady...Just saw the president on the Daily Show last night.  Voicing the concerns of disaffected liberals, Jon Stewart made him squirm and generally put him on the defensive.  Some commentators have said that the joke was on Obama, because he appeared too serious and Stewart even referred to him at one point as “dude.”  While that’s true to some extent, Obama made a  point that too often gets lost with those frustrated that he hasn’t remade American politics: He promised change, but he didn’t promise OVERNIGHT change.  That impatience is part of the subtext of this cartoon.
