And the amazing thing about Romney’s approach is that even when confronted with the truth of the situation, he continues to press his attack on Obama for “apologizing” for the attacks on the U.S. embassy. The actual timeline, the actual intent of the comments from the embassy staff is ignored. The only thing that matters is using this crisis to score political points. Even many Republicans were disgusted by this tactic.

We’ve been down this crazy, fringe, conspiracy rabbit hole before, but here it is again. It’s revived because Mitt can’t seem to simply call this idea what it is: BS. But then again, it may be his way of appealing to the nasty, extremist rightwing pinheads who can’t accept that President Obama was legitimately elected.
