Newt is infamous for spinning out ideas almost indiscriminately, some good, some bad, some atrocious. Having grown up in the 1960s with all its optimistic predictions about all the amazing things we’d do in the future, I have a kind of fond nostalgia when Gingrich talks about stuff like mining colonies on the moon.
