On a recent Sunday morning political roundtable show, a panelist noted that the nation’s biggest problem was its debt.  No one disagreed.  I guess that’s the conventional wisdom.  I would argue that our continuing high unemployment problem is the most pressing issue we face, and it’s an issue with a human face.

jobsCOLOR Sound of silenceEven though unemployment continues to be  a problem that is taking a devastating personal and economic toll, you wouldn’t know it listening to the major parties.  They’ve both bought into the idea that debt is paramount and eliminating it trumps everything else.  Meanwhile, the suffering continues and we head for a double-dip recession.
