roadC the rundownNot that I’m advocating violent riots, but I’ve found myself watching protests against austerity measures in Europe with a grudging admiration.  They’re mad as hell and not afraid to let the government know it by lighting a bonfire or two in the street.  Or throwing placards at cops,  whatever.  It may be messy, but it somehow seems preferable to the American way:  bending over and taking one job-related indignity after another.
